DECEMBER, 2022 CHRISTMAS PARTY DISTRIBUTION
Christmas came early to our brothers and sisters in Kenya and once again everything was done to tradition just like the pre pandemic years. Every child received new clothes, shoes as well as extra food and toiletries supplies. Among other special gifts were a cow, goat and chicken for select families.
To top it all off, everyone was treated to an end year feast with distinguished Kenyan delicacies served including masala rice, chapatti, deep fried chicken, corn bread and so much more. Further the congregation was filled with joy of getting together in celebration of the end of an eventful yet successful year.
Christmas means so much to many children and adults alike across the globe and as witnessed, Santa managed once again to put a smile on every child's face courtesy of your generous thoughtful giving. It is a season of neighborliness and indeed you all set the bar so high. Happy Christmas!

2021 JANUARY BACK TO SCHOOL GIFTS
With the dawn of the New Year, it is back to school for all learners in Kenya and despite the raging pandemic world over, the government has carefully crafted a return to school plan to help protect the students against Covid 19 both while at home and school.
Our sponsored children are excited to resume learning after months of staying home due to the global pandemic that led to all schools closing indefinitely. Also given that Kenya has no homeschooling plan in its education system, there is no way she could have kept up with her syllabus.
Armed with books, stationery, full school uniform, and more, students are ecstatic and eager to go back to school and see their peers.

The team visited Joseph and Fednand at Ebumangale primary school. We only found Fednand in school, Joseph had gone at home because of sickness.
We had some good moments with Fednand, he was healthy and so happy to meet his own people in the school environment
The report we got from teachers about Fednand was that he is a humbled student, always commited to his studies. He also told us that Fednand is always among the best students in his 4th grade. He always attend classes and his class participation is encouraging. He further said that he has never had issues with him on on the ground of time management. The class teacher told us that if the boy will mantain his hard work then we are assured of better academic performance results.

september 2018 school visit
Today we went to see 9 year old Fednand and brother Joseph at Ebumangale primary school. They are all doing good. They are healthy and their school attendance is encouraging. Their health is highly improving. They used to feed from similar food on daily basis and now they have variety. The food we supply plays a very big role in preventing infections that can be avoided and keeping them in school lively. Fednand is in grade 3 and his academic performance is good. He had a very loving teacher who follows him up to ensure that he is doing the right thing.

In addition to the extra room, Give Amore further equipped her kitchen with more durable kitchenware, feasible to endure the conditions in her dirt floor, open-fire-cooking kitchen. The items included utensils, cutlery, cooking pots and bath basins. Finally, her other children received extra clothes and bedding to keep them warm in this cold rainy season.

june 2018 - home visit
The team visited Fednand’s home while the Give Amore American team were in Kenya. Fednand is 8 years old and in grade 3. His brother Joshua is 4 years. His older brother, Brian, (16) has epilepsy and burned his hand and arm in a fire while having a seizure. No one was around to help him at the time. Has seizures usually once a mo. Fednand’s older siblings - Brian, Erick and Jentrix - are 14, 12, 10. Their father died in 2013. He was a cornerstone pastor. Mama Jennifer is Wellington's sister and doesn't currently work. Fednand’s uncle lives in a home with his famliy close by. The 5 children sleep in smoky enclosed kitchen with poor bedding.
A genearous donor donated the funds to add an additional room onto their home for a place for the kids to sleep. Kitchen supplies, new bedding, mattresses, clothes, and transport for Brian to sewing class will also be purchased with the funds.
A sponsor was found for Fednand’s younger brother Joseph! He will begin school soon!
september 2017
Our team brought Fednand and his brother Joseph to distribution while Christa and Heather were visiting. They wish to add them to our waitlist of children needing a sponsor. Fednand’s dad passed leaving his mom Jennifer a widow to 5 children. They live near Elvis, but the well is too far to walk to. One brother, Brian, has epilepsy. Fednand is 7 and in grade 2. The nearest school is very far to walk to, so he lives with his grandmother, whose home is closer to his school. His younger brother Joseph goes to a private preschool near home. Jennifer sells wax for candles to make a living and they live in the village of Isongo.
