DECEMBER, 2022 CHRISTMAS PARTY DISTRIBUTION

Christmas came early to our brothers and sisters in Kenya and once again everything was done to tradition just like the pre pandemic years. Every child received new clothes, shoes as well as extra food and toiletries supplies. Among other special gifts were a cow, goat and chicken for select families.

To top it all off, everyone was treated to an end year feast with distinguished Kenyan delicacies served including masala rice, chapatti, deep fried chicken, corn bread and so much more. Further the congregation was filled with joy of getting together in celebration of the end of an eventful yet successful year.

Christmas means so much to many children and adults alike across the globe and as witnessed, Santa managed once again to put a smile on every child's face courtesy of your generous thoughtful giving. It is a season of neighborliness and indeed you all set the bar so high. Happy Christmas!

APRIL 23, 2022 DISTRIBUTION

It’s back to school for Students in Kenya and our sponsored children are well equipped with the necessities to face the learning period ahead of them. Each student received the required stationery and text books as well as their regular supply of food and toiletries.

With all their school fees paid fully up front, all our sponsored children will have all the time to focus on their studies without distractions. Through Education we seek to harness our children’s chances at a better tomorrow as well as achieve a ripple effect of change throughout the community through these precious ambassadors.

We wish them all the best in their pursuit of education.

CHRISTMAS 2021 PORTRAITS IN NEW CLOTHES

Joy and abundance filled the air this Christmas season at our resource center in Kenya as Give Amore spread love through gifts, teaching and celebration of the eminent birth of our savior Jesus Christ. Our children had the time of their life, some indulging in their favorite meals and beverages, something that isn’t as common in their homes and daily routines. Topping the list of gifts this time and every other year was new clothes for all our sponsored children, a tradition so popular in the African culture, as well as extra food and toiletries.

2021 JANUARY BACK TO SCHOOL GIFTS

With the dawn of the New Year, it is back to school for all learners in Kenya and despite the raging pandemic world over, the government has carefully crafted a return to school plan to help protect the students against Covid 19 both while at home and school.

Our sponsored children are excited to resume learning after months of staying home due to the global pandemic that led to all schools closing indefinitely. Also given that Kenya has no homeschooling plan in its education system, there is no way she could have kept up with her syllabus.

Armed with books, stationery, full school uniform, and more, students are ecstatic and eager to go back to school and see their peers.

september 26, 2018 school visit

We visited Shalyne Khabetsa at Ebuchinga primary school. It is our joy to see her smile, a child that had already lost hopes. Thank you Give Amore for the love. Shalyne is healthy and always so smart despite the fact that she is in pre-school.  Her academic performance is encouraging and we pray she maintains the same standard. Her teacher told us that she is very active in class, disciplined and inquisitive. She has a very brilliant brain if nurtured well.

june 19, 2018 home visit

Shalyne goes to Cornerstone School and church. Mom (Nelly) sells fish for a living. Though the don’t have much, we all noticed that their meager belongings and fish inventory is very organized and well take care of.

Shalyne’s father died died in 2009 in a road accident. Her sister Brenda - 9 years - is in grade 2. Sister Sharon - 9 years - is also in grade 2. Another sibling is 10 years old. Shalyne in the preschool class. They get water from someone's home nearby that is not too far away. Our team found Shalyne's family because of their proximity to Give Amore and supported them during the mourning of the loss of their father.

september 2017

Shalyne is 5 years old. Her mom is a widow to 5 children. The oldest is mentally disturbed. 2nd in 4th grade. 3rd and 4th in 2nd grade. There is no money left for Shalyne to go to school. She lives about a 30 min walk from Cornerstone in village Ebusang'ang'a near Paloma. Her mother is not working, but used to sell fish.
