DECEMBER, 2022 CHRISTMAS PARTY DISTRIBUTION

Christmas came early to our brothers and sisters in Kenya and once again everything was done to tradition just like the pre pandemic years. Every child received new clothes, shoes as well as extra food and toiletries supplies. Among other special gifts were a cow, goat and chicken for select families.

To top it all off, everyone was treated to an end year feast with distinguished Kenyan delicacies served including masala rice, chapatti, deep fried chicken, corn bread and so much more. Further the congregation was filled with joy of getting together in celebration of the end of an eventful yet successful year.

Christmas means so much to many children and adults alike across the globe and as witnessed, Santa managed once again to put a smile on every child's face courtesy of your generous thoughtful giving. It is a season of neighborliness and indeed you all set the bar so high. Happy Christmas!

APRIL 23, 2022 DISTRIBUTION

It’s back to school for Students in Kenya and our sponsored children are well equipped with the necessities to face the learning period ahead of them. Each student received the required stationery and text books as well as their regular supply of food and toiletries.

With all their school fees paid fully up front, all our sponsored children will have all the time to focus on their studies without distractions. Through Education we seek to harness our children’s chances at a better tomorrow as well as achieve a ripple effect of change throughout the community through these precious ambassadors.

We wish them all the best in their pursuit of education.

CHRISTMAS 2021 PORTRAITS IN NEW CLOTHES

Joy and abundance filled the air this Christmas season at our resource center in Kenya as Give Amore spread love through gifts, teaching and celebration of the eminent birth of our savior Jesus Christ. Our children had the time of their life, some indulging in their favorite meals and beverages, something that isn’t as common in their homes and daily routines. Topping the list of gifts this time and every other year was new clothes for all our sponsored children, a tradition so popular in the African culture, as well as extra food and toiletries.

update april 10, 2019

It is the rainy season here and unlike usual, it pounds for long hours. Unfortunately for Mercyline’s family,  they had to shift to a neighbour's house for cover and even spend the night there because their house is always wet from the holes in the roof. They shifted from their bedrooom to their living room previously for cover, untill the pores caught up with them in their temporary refuge.

We pray for urgent help if any can be accorded.

Pictured in the last photo is Sylvia and Mercyline’s daughter Vollen-Shell

UPDATE We have received a donation to cover the cost of repairing Mercy’s roof!

 update march 22, 2019

Mercyline is sick and she reported today to the office while feeling allot of pain. We got her to the nearest clinic and got treated. She was able to return to school the next day.

update march 16, 2019

Hellen, Mercyline and Sylvia’s mother depends solely on the food provided by Give Amore for Mercyline to sustain her entire family. We examined their roof and it was in very bad shape! The iron sheets are torn, they are rained on whenever it rains (water fills the whole floor of the house) and receive allot of sun rays during sunny days.

2017 UPDATE

Mercyline is in the 7th grade for the 2017 school year at Cornerstone Mission School.

Mercyline is a partial orphan. She lives with her single mother Helen. After the death of her father, Mercyline and her siblings embarked on helping their mother in search of the day’s meal even though they constantly went to bed hungry.

She is giving it her best shot at education after being incorporated in Give Amore’s sponsorship program.

Further, her mother now runs a small open air groceries shade and the income supplements the family’s food supply.

2015 update

The broad smile duly on Mercyline’s face speaks of how warm and accommodating she is. Mercyline is thirteen years old and in fifth grade. Her constant chest pains attacks haven’t kept her from chasing her dreams of one day ending up as a lawyer in her life to come. Her favorite subjects are science and Swahili while her least is mathematics.

She loves running and playing throw ball. On the other side, she gets ill regularly, lacks enough food, has no text books, tormented by the fights between her parent and lack of other household effects.

Lastly, she is thankful she is in school.
