FEBRUARY 2024
DECEMBER, 2022 CHRISTMAS PARTY DISTRIBUTION
Christmas came early to our brothers and sisters in Kenya and once again everything was done to tradition just like the pre pandemic years. Every child received new clothes, shoes as well as extra food and toiletries supplies. Among other special gifts were a cow, goat and chicken for select families.
To top it all off, everyone was treated to an end year feast with distinguished Kenyan delicacies served including masala rice, chapatti, deep fried chicken, corn bread and so much more. Further the congregation was filled with joy of getting together in celebration of the end of an eventful yet successful year.
Christmas means so much to many children and adults alike across the globe and as witnessed, Santa managed once again to put a smile on every child's face courtesy of your generous thoughtful giving. It is a season of neighborliness and indeed you all set the bar so high. Happy Christmas!
APRIL 23, 2022 DISTRIBUTION
It’s back to school for Students in Kenya and our sponsored children are well equipped with the necessities to face the learning period ahead of them. Each student received the required stationery and text books as well as their regular supply of food and toiletries.
With all their school fees paid fully up front, all our sponsored children will have all the time to focus on their studies without distractions. Through Education we seek to harness our children’s chances at a better tomorrow as well as achieve a ripple effect of change throughout the community through these precious ambassadors.
We wish them all the best in their pursuit of education.
CHRISTMAS 2021 PORTRAITS IN NEW CLOTHES
Joy and abundance filled the air this Christmas season at our resource center in Kenya as Give Amore spread love through gifts, teaching and celebration of the eminent birth of our savior Jesus Christ. Our children had the time of their life, some indulging in their favorite meals and beverages, something that isn’t as common in their homes and daily routines. Topping the list of gifts this time and every other year was new clothes for all our sponsored children, a tradition so popular in the African culture, as well as extra food and toiletries.

2021 JANUARY BACK TO SCHOOL GIFTS
With the dawn of the New Year, it is back to school for all learners in Kenya and despite the raging pandemic world over, the government has carefully crafted a return to school plan to help protect the students against Covid 19 both while at home and school.
Our sponsored children are excited to resume learning after months of staying home due to the global pandemic that led to all schools closing indefinitely. Also given that Kenya has no homeschooling plan in its education system, there is no way she could have kept up with her syllabus.
Armed with books, stationery, full school uniform, and more, students are ecstatic and eager to go back to school and see their peers.

Due to Corona virus related restrictions, our usual congregation at the Give Amore center was replaced with our team transporting supplies to the homes of the beneficiaries for our April Distribution.
In addition to the food and toiletries we typically issue, this time there was an augmentation of hand washing stations, extra food and soap to supplement their provisions during these lean moments and help curb the spread of the virus in case of an outbreak in the remote rural areas.

Jimmy received a new school uniform.
When we met Jimmy about two months ago, he was in rags, so malnourished, looked sad and less active for his age. Today, the ‘steel’ in his eyes, pep in his steps, and smile on his face speak of his wonderful transformation.
Jimmy, 8, is a first grader and a newly sponsored child who joined our sponsorship program in July this year. He also doubles up as a cousin to Michelle, Michael, Evans and Jayden who have long since been in the program. Looking at him today, the ever mute, isolated, less active little guy has transformed in to a curious active child and when he is at play with his peers, he is inseparable.
As his grandmother testifies, he is rapidly evolving and credits all of it to the love, compassion and help Give Amore has brought his way. “It is like a veil was lifted and brought his good mood back… it’s so good to see him happy again,” asserts his grandmother, who is also his sole guardian.

Our team met Jimmy while visiting his uncle Derrick’s family at their home. Derrick’s mother Everline cares for Jimmy and his two siblings - Thomas and Gladys N - and her youngest son Dancan who is in the 7th grade. We added all four children to our sponsorship program after meeting them at this same visit. Derrick’s children - Michelle, Michael and Jayden have been members of our sponsorship program for some time, as Derrick is a former employer of TGD. His family is very near and dear to our hearts. His wife Carolyne had just given birth to a new baby boy - Stephen Rivers - on June 9th, and our team LOVED getting some newborn baby snuggles.
Jimmy is 6 years old and has never been in school. We are thrilled to be adding him to our program to give him the opportunity to blossom as a new preschooler.
Well #2 completed by Give Amore in May, 2016 is not flowing strongly. The team believes the well needs deepening and will determine how much the renovation will cost.
