FEBRUARY 2024
DECEMBER, 2022 CHRISTMAS PARTY DISTRIBUTION
Christmas came early to our brothers and sisters in Kenya and once again everything was done to tradition just like the pre pandemic years. Every child received new clothes, shoes as well as extra food and toiletries supplies. Among other special gifts were a cow, goat and chicken for select families.
To top it all off, everyone was treated to an end year feast with distinguished Kenyan delicacies served including masala rice, chapatti, deep fried chicken, corn bread and so much more. Further the congregation was filled with joy of getting together in celebration of the end of an eventful yet successful year.
Christmas means so much to many children and adults alike across the globe and as witnessed, Santa managed once again to put a smile on every child's face courtesy of your generous thoughtful giving. It is a season of neighborliness and indeed you all set the bar so high. Happy Christmas!

CHRISTMAS 2021 PORTRAITS IN NEW CLOTHES
Joy and abundance filled the air this Christmas season at our resource center in Kenya as Give Amore spread love through gifts, teaching and celebration of the eminent birth of our savior Jesus Christ. Our children had the time of their life, some indulging in their favorite meals and beverages, something that isn’t as common in their homes and daily routines. Topping the list of gifts this time and every other year was new clothes for all our sponsored children, a tradition so popular in the African culture, as well as extra food and toiletries.

2021 JANUARY BACK TO SCHOOL GIFTS
With the dawn of the New Year, it is back to school for all learners in Kenya and despite the raging pandemic world over, the government has carefully crafted a return to school plan to help protect the students against Covid 19 both while at home and school.
Our sponsored children are excited to resume learning after months of staying home due to the global pandemic that led to all schools closing indefinitely. Also given that Kenya has no homeschooling plan in its education system, there is no way she could have kept up with her syllabus.
Armed with books, stationery, full school uniform, and more, students are ecstatic and eager to go back to school and see their peers.

Due to Corona virus related restrictions, our usual congregation at the Give Amore center was replaced with our team transporting supplies to the homes of the beneficiaries.
In addition to the food and toiletries we typically issue, this time there was an augmentation of hand washing stations, extra food and soap to supplement their provisions during these lean moments and help curb the spread of the virus in case of an outbreak in the remote rural areas.

Our team has chosen Ignatius Muchesa as the newest member of the Give Amore sponsorship program! For little Ignatius, a new dawn is on the horizon after landing a God given sponsorship from Give Amore. This support means that this fine-looking rafiki (friend) will go through the gates of a school, receive school supplies, bag food provisions and toiletries, make new friends and get mentorship from the Give Amore fraternity. We look forward to him officially joining the group at our next distribution set to be help April 27th.
Born out of wedlock and to an unknown father and a runaway mother, Ignatius, 8, and his only sibling Junior stay with their widowed deaf grandmother, Selina Bushuru, alongside four other grandchildren. He is the 2nd boy born to Petronila Mapesa after his brother Junior. The boys have different fathers who are unknown, and were left in the hands of their grandmother when their mother left to marry another man.
With the claws of poverty closing in on her, old Selina is forced to take up menial jobs in people’s farms for less than a dollar daily in order to feed her six grandchildren and this only means, no school for her little ones.
Ignatius' birthday is August 24, 2011 and while he is 7 years old, he has never seen the doors of a school and has never learned the English language. His family lives in the Emusanda village.
We pray this blessing brings lasting change to this beautiful family beyond the joy they currently hold.
