DECEMBER, 2022 CHRISTMAS PARTY DISTRIBUTION

Christmas came early to our brothers and sisters in Kenya and once again everything was done to tradition just like the pre pandemic years. Every child received new clothes, shoes as well as extra food and toiletries supplies. Among other special gifts were a cow, goat and chicken for select families.

To top it all off, everyone was treated to an end year feast with distinguished Kenyan delicacies served including masala rice, chapatti, deep fried chicken, corn bread and so much more. Further the congregation was filled with joy of getting together in celebration of the end of an eventful yet successful year.

Christmas means so much to many children and adults alike across the globe and as witnessed, Santa managed once again to put a smile on every child's face courtesy of your generous thoughtful giving. It is a season of neighborliness and indeed you all set the bar so high. Happy Christmas!

APRIL 23, 2022 DISTRIBUTION

It’s back to school for Students in Kenya and our sponsored children are well equipped with the necessities to face the learning period ahead of them. Each student received the required stationery and text books as well as their regular supply of food and toiletries.

With all their school fees paid fully up front, all our sponsored children will have all the time to focus on their studies without distractions. Through Education we seek to harness our children’s chances at a better tomorrow as well as achieve a ripple effect of change throughout the community through these precious ambassadors.

We wish them all the best in their pursuit of education.

Christmas 2021 Portraits in new clothes

Joy and abundance filled the air this Christmas season at our resource center in Kenya as Give Amore spread love through gifts, teaching and celebration of the eminent birth of our savior Jesus Christ. Our children had the time of their life, some indulging in their favorite meals and beverages, something that isn’t as common in their homes and daily routines. Topping the list of gifts this time and every other year was new clothes for all our sponsored children, a tradition so popular in the African culture, as well as extra food and toiletries.

2021 JANUARY BACK TO SCHOOL GIFTS

With the dawn of the New Year, it is back to school for all learners in Kenya and despite the raging pandemic world over, the government has carefully crafted a return to school plan to help protect the students against Covid 19 both while at home and school.

Our sponsored children are excited to resume learning after months of staying home due to the global pandemic that led to all schools closing indefinitely. Also given that Kenya has no homeschooling plan in its education system, there is no way she could have kept up with her syllabus.

Armed with books, stationery, full school uniform, and more, students are ecstatic and eager to go back to school and see their peers.

Emmanuel’s home was found infested with jiggers and in dire need of a new floor. We treated the entire family and fumigated the home.

APRIL 2020

Due to Corona virus related restrictions, our usual congregation at the Give Amore center was replaced with our team transporting supplies to the homes of the beneficiaries.

In addition to the food and toiletries we typically issue, this time there was an augmentation of hand washing stations, extra food and soap to supplement their provisions during these lean moments and help curb the spread of the virus in case of an outbreak in the remote rural areas.

april 4, 2019 school visit

Emmanuel Mukhwana's school marked the end of our one day trip. Emmanuel is a grade 4 student of Maraba primary school. This boy is ever happy and focused at his work. He loves playing football with his friends. His class told us that Emmanuel is a star in academics and that if natured, he can do marvelous.

Emmanuel is one of our children that comes from the poorest families in the program and I think this could be one of the very reasons that gears his academic performance. He always feel comfortable in our company and never wants to quit.

2017 UPDATE

Emmanuel is in the 3rd grade for the 2017 school year at Maraba primary school.

Sickly, pale and weak are the words fit to describe little Emmanuel when we first met him. Living in a single room apartment with his step father and pregnant mother, Emmanuel exuded symptoms of severe malnutrition. He was quickly put on dietary supplements and later, he was incorporated in our monthly food supply program.

Complimented with an endearing smile, shy Emmanuel is a partial orphan. Since his father’s death, they lived in dilapidated condition, something that pushed Praxidese, Emmanuel’s mother, to remarry.

2015 update

At six years Emanuel is in first grade and his shy smile every time I ask a question endears me to him.

“Prior he had poor health and so weak but he is stronger now and even healthier courtesy of the support he is getting both nutritionally and in school,” narrates his mother as she slowly strokes the back of his head.

And as his mother confirms, he loves to play soccer with peers and his happiness is made of this.
