september 26, 2018 school visit
Today the team visited Paloma, Asman, Noel, Ben, Merceline, Yvonne at Conerstone Academy. They met Asman Tsuma who is in grade 7 and prepares to meet his last primary exams next year 2019. They got from his teacher that he doesn't perform so well in academics even though he tries his best. They didn't share so much with Asman himself because he was sick suffering from tooth decay. He was undergoing much pain at that moment, so they team organized and had him go to Emusanda clinic where he was attended to and we are waiting to see some improvements.
Later in the day, the team relayed that Asman’s tooth pain has been reduced and they believe he is healing.

2017 update
Asman is 13 years old and in the 6th grade. He goes to Cornerstone Academy.
Asman is a total orphan. He was left under the care of his grandfather, who also later passed away, after his parents died. He now lives with his uncle, Melchzadeck Tsuma, who works at a corn milling machine in the village and has an additional two children to look after. Asman’s health was very poor. He suffered from malnutrition and also lacked basic needs including schooling requirements. His sponsorship has seen him reinstated in school, his food supplements needs handled and clean water well drilled in his family home.

Asman received the first clean water well funded by Give Amore Founder and Executive Director, Christa Horst. His village name is Isembe. Asman lives across the road from Give Amore CPA Henry Anjeje. Click HERE for additional information about this well and more photos. (Photos coming soon).
March 2015 update
Asman is quiet yet so careful and a lover of science and Swahili subjects. He practically admits that he should add more efforts to leverage his Mathematics grade in a bid to land his dream career. He further has a playful side but not so well explored. Something however that is peculiar about Asman is how he loves to listen keenly and attentively and he confirms this by telling me how he loves listening to music after school. He said he has been through much and is so much grateful he is in school and hopes to grow up to become an engineer in future. He listed lack of enough food as a major setback at home.
